Diablo Valley College Vikings Set for 2025 Football Season
Vikings enter ranked No. 19 in state preseason poll; open on the road against No. 8 Fresno City
Pleasant Hill, Calif. – The Diablo Valley College Vikings are gearing up for the 2025 3C2A football season with high expectations after earning a spot in the state’s Top 20 preseason rankings. The Vikings, who finished 6–5 in 2024, will begin the new year ranked No. 19 in the JC Athletic Bureau / CCCFCA Preseason State Poll, matching their final ranking from last season.
The Vikings’ No. 19 ranking places them among California’s elite football programs, reflecting both their consistent performance and their potential to rise in the standings. Diablo Valley will look to build on last year’s winning record by leaning on returning talent and developing depth across key positions.
DVC’s season begins with a major challenge on the road against No. 8 Fresno City College on Saturday, August 30 at 5 p.m. Fresno, which went 8–3 in 2024, provides the Vikings with an early opportunity to make a statement against a top-10 opponent.
The Vikings are determined to build momentum early and continue their climb in the Northern California Football Conference. With their balanced roster and a strong work ethic, Diablo Valley is positioned to compete week in and week out against the best programs in the state.
The Vikings first home game is set for Saturday, September 6th at 5pm vs. Santa Rosa.
