Swim & Water Polo Coach | National-Level Athlete | Technique Specialist

Abdallah Mahgoub is a highly accomplished swim and water polo coach with a distinguished background as an international competitor and a proven track record of developing athletes at all levels.

As a former member of the Egyptian National Swimming Team, Abdallah competed at the 2019 World Championships trials and is an Olympic Trials qualifier, bringing elite-level insight and experience to every practice and competition. He also competed at the California State Championships while representing Diablo Valley College in 2018.

Currently, Abdallah serves as the Senior Group Coach for the Ala-Gators, where he leads the Elite Senior, Senior, and Senior Developmental training groups, focusing on long-term development, technical precision, and championship performance.

In addition to his swim coaching, Abdallah is also a Water Polo Coach at Diablo Valley College, where he applies his deep aquatic knowledge to help athletes develop high-level skills, game awareness, and team strategy.

He has previously coached with the Walnut Creek Aquabears, emphasizing fun, skill-building, and community. Since 2020, Abdallah has also worked with the Fitter & Faster Swim Tour, delivering clinics across the country alongside Olympians and national team athletes.

Abdallah’s coaching philosophy centers on athlete empowerment, technical mastery, and cultivating a high-performance mindset, all grounded in his own experience as a high-level competitor.
