The DVC Women's Volleyball team took on Yuba College and Shasta College on Friday in their first tri-match of the season.
DVC vs. Yuba - Match #1 (L, 0-3)
The Vikings lost 0-3 to Yuba in their first match of the 2019 season. The first game was all 49ers but the Vikings battled back in games 2 and 3. Taylor Griffin led the Vikes with 8 kills in the match and recorded 10 digs. Mika Nomura recorded 20 assists and 6 digs in the match as well.
DVC vs. Shasta - Match #2 (L, 0-3)
The Vikings lost to Shasta in their second match of the day, 0-3. The Vikings struggled offensively but recorded 21 digs as a team and setter Mika Nomura recorded 3 service aces. Kelley Tong led the Vikes with 5 digs and Mika Nomura finished with 9 assists.
The Vikes take on Solano College & Butte on Wednesday, Sept. 4th at the Falcon Classic in Fairfield, CA.
