Vikings Struggles To Find Groove Against Sacramento City College, lose Game 1, 12-3.

Vikings captured the lead in the first inning when Hailey O'Rourke singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Sacramento City College took the lead for good with four runs in the second inning. In the second Bella Munoz singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, Morgan Conner singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, and Liz Caffero's sac fly scored one run for Sacramento City College.

Sacramento City College scored five runs in the fifth inning.  Conner, Caffero,  Mackenzie Duval, and Rylee Retzer powered the big inning with RBIs.

Rachel Gordon earned the win for Sacramento City College. She surrendered zero runs on three hits over four and a third innings, striking out two and walking zero.

Hannah Kwong took the loss for Vikings. She went five innings, allowing 12 runs on 12 hits.

Danielle Reyes started the game for Sacramento City College. She lasted two-thirds of an inning, allowing three hits and three runs while walking zero.

Vikings totaled six hits.  O'Rourke and Kathryn Cassin each collected multiple hits for Vikings. Vikings was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Cassin made the most plays with 11.

Late Score Costs Vikings Against Sacramento City College, lose 9-6.

Vikings lost the lead late in a 9-6 defeat to Sacramento City College on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Sacramento City College batting in the top of the fifth when Karmyn Rivera doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring three runs.

Vikings collected ten hits and Sacramento City College had 14 in the high-scoring affair.

Vikings fired up the offense in the second inning.  Vikings scored two runs when Anonikah Salas doubled.

Rachel Gordon led the Sacramento City College to victory in the circle. She surrendered two runs on five hits over four and a third innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Mariah Schuchart took the loss for Vikings. She lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing 12 hits and eight runs.

Marah Range started the game for Sacramento City College. She allowed five hits and four runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three.

Vikings racked up ten hits on the day.  Hailey O'Rourke and Chelsea Mari all had multiple hits for Vikings.
