Diablo Valley College - Men's Meet Recap
At the 2026 West Coast Relays, Diablo Valley College showed solid depth across sprint and middle-distance events, with several athletes posting competitive marks against a strong field.
In the 100m, DVC was led by Peyton Schlader (11.23) and Dalen Lyons (11.29), both finishing mid-pack in a large field. The Panthers had strong representation overall, with six athletes competing and gaining valuable race experience.
The 200m was a highlight for the group, with Dalen Lyons leading the way in 22.27, followed closely by Peyton Schlader (22.45) and Junor Douglas (22.71). The trio all placed within the top half of the field, showing promising progression in the short sprints.
In the 400m, DVC continued to show strength, led by Ryan Christy (50.65) and Dominick Andrade (50.91), both breaking 51 seconds and finishing in the top 25 overall.
On the distance side, Luka Afonine (2:01.68) led the Panthers in the 800m, with Joseph Pouncil (2:07.47) and Andre Hawley (2:13.54) adding depth.
Women's Meet Recap
At the 2026 West Coast Relays, Diablo Valley College women's squad showed strong participation across sprint and distance events, continuing to build depth and experience against a competitive field.
In the 100m, Nyah Thornton led the way in 12.86, finishing just outside the top 30 overall. Teammates Stephanie Vojtenyi (13.53), Kiley Ruff (14.80), and Raquel Nelson (14.95) rounded out the sprint group, gaining valuable race reps.
The 200m saw Holly Noden pace DVC with a 28.98, while Ruff (31.01) and Nelson (31.04) added additional efforts in the event.
In the 400m, Noden doubled back to lead the team again, running 1:05.64, with Jocelyn Pelcastre (1:15.08) also competing.
On the distance side, Tiana Holmes led the Panthers in both the 800m (2:49.91) and 1500m (5:30.77), showing versatility and endurance across events.
