Diablo Valley faced a challenging road matchup Wednesday night, falling 93–31 to Cosumnes River at Clark Court.
The Vikings struggled offensively early as Cosumnes River built a significant lead in the opening half. Diablo Valley continued to compete throughout the game and showed its best stretch in the third quarter, scoring 17 points while pushing the tempo and generating better looks on offense.
Naomi Zurisadai Vidal led Diablo Valley with 11 points, while Amani Boxdell added six points and six rebounds. Abena Yeboah and Angeline Harris were active on the glass, combining for 13 rebounds, and Lauryn Lewis provided energy off the bench with five points and two steals.
Despite the final score, Diablo Valley continued to work defensively and gained valuable experience against a tough opponent as the Vikings move forward in conference play.
