Diablo Valley closed out the pre-holiday schedule in dominant style, rolling to a 108-72 home win over American River College in Pleasant Hill. The Vikings led 46-39 at halftime, then took complete control with an explosive 62-point second half to turn the game into a blowout.
DVC shot efficiently from the floor at 46.2 percent and had a strong day from three-point range, hitting 17 of 36 attempts. The Vikings also battled hard on the boards, finishing with 44 rebounds and piling up 22 assists and 16 steals.

One week later, the Vikings faced a much tougher challenge on the road at Sierra College. Diablo Valley dug itself an early hole after a rough first half, trailing 54-35 at the break. DVC responded with a much stronger second-half performance, outscoring Sierra 40-28, but couldn't quite finish the comeback.
The Vikings shot 45.9 percent overall and connected on 8 of 22 from three. Diablo Valley stayed aggressive defensively, collecting 13 steals and committing just 11 turnovers.
