Vikings Rack Up All-Conference Honors as Collins Earns Co-Coach of the Year
Diablo Valley College is proud to announce Head Football Coach Jimmy Collins as the 2025 Co-Coach of the Year, after leading the Vikings through one of the most successful seasons in program history. Under his leadership, the Vikings had 13 players receive all-conference honors.
In just his second year at the helm, Coach Collins guided DVC to a 9–1 record, the Bay 6 League Championship, the highest 3C2A rankings ever achieved by the program in the modern era, and—most notably—the first State Playoff berth in school history under the new playoff format. Under his leadership, the Vikings played disciplined, explosive, and confident football all season long.
This year’s success was reflected not only in the team’s record but in the individual honors earned across the roster. The Vikings celebrated:

Coach Collins’ impact has been immediate and transformational, elevating the standard of excellence within the program. After winning the 2024 Golden Valley Bowl in his first season, he has now led DVC to unprecedented heights in 2025—building a culture rooted in competitiveness, development, and belief.
