Football Dominates in 55–0 Shutout Over Shasta
The Diablo Valley College football team put together its most commanding performance of the season on Friday night, blanking Shasta 55–0 at Vikings Stadium to improve to 5–0.
Quarterback Kalani McLeod set the tone early, throwing for 324 yards and four touchdowns while adding a rushing score. He connected with Jurrion Dickey, Garrett Esomonu, Miles Dixon, and Darien Maragh for first-half touchdowns that gave DVC complete control. McLeod's efficiency (21-of-28) fueled a Viking offense that racked up 602 total yards.
In the fourth quarter, quarterback Jayden Macedo added two passing touchdowns—finding Maragh for his second score of the day and Cole Thome from four yards out—before running in one of his own.
On the ground, Ferrari Miller led the way with 135 rushing yards on 19 carries, while Elijah Bow chipped in 36 yards on two attempts. Dixon was McLeod's top target, hauling in 10 catches for 137 yards and a touchdown.
The Viking defense was equally dominant, holding Shasta to just 133 yards of total offense and forcing two turnovers. Davian Sherlock highlighted the defensive effort with an interception return, while Richard Siaki and Kaden McIver each recorded sacks.
With the victory, DVC stays unbeaten and continues to establish itself as one of the most balanced teams in Northern California, combining explosive offense with relentless defense.
